Knitters in our area gather at Ewe2Yarn in downtown Waxahachie for Knit Night on Thursday evenings. You're welcome to join us (facemasks required at this time).

Gee I’m looking for a knitting place where we gather a little.
I’m in red oak?🌞
Are you still here?

I'm so excited for you to finish your first prayer shawl! I hope there will be many more after this, each one imbued with blessing, prayer, and love.

Before March of last year, a pair of knitting needles had never crossed my palm; yet here I am on the verge of completing my first prayers shawl! Adept? HA!!! My hands still shake at the thought of dropping a stitch!! But as a member of a "sister-hood" of knitters, I can only echo what has been said above. As valuable and cherished as the end-product is for the recipients of the prayer shawl, the journey of its creation within the circle of strangers who have become friends becomes the blessing of which it is imbued. Would absolutely LOVE to read a book about this gem of a ministry and how it weaves its way into the fabric of community. Perhaps a shawl could be sent to a possible publisher so he/she could have a tangible experience of what a HEAVENLY HUG actually feels like!
