Hey, y’all, we did it! I’m thrilled to announce that Kregel Publications, a small but mighty Christian publishing house, is going to publish The Heavenly Hugs Prayer Shawl Ministry! That’s me in the picture, signing the contract last evening. Thank you so much for helping me get to this point in my publishing journey. Your support means more than I can say. I’m excited for this book and its message of comfort and hope to go out into the world. Ahead lies a busy year of work to make the book the very best it can be. I look forward to sharing the process with you!
An author writes a book in many, many hours of solitude (or hours at a table in a coffee shop), but it takes a team to get that book published. You are part of that team, the advance team, if you will, whose interest in my website, which is primarily about prayer shawls, communicated to publishers that there is indeed an audience for a novel about this ministry. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I’ll keep you posted, but so far, the book is slated to come out in the fall of 2021 (that’s pretty quickly in the publishing world, believe it or not!). In the meantime, I’ve been working on a serial short story that I hope you will enjoy, “The Top-Secret Life of Penelope Perlmutter.” It’s about a knitting teacher who is much more than she seems… Look for the first installment next week!
